Peyton & TJ ∙ Stronger Together
What a surprise when Peyton, the creative force behind Love ‘n Labels, asked us to create a one-of-a-kind first anniversary gift for her husband TJ. She runs a vibrant lifestyle and fashion blog, "a destination for fashionistas with big-city style." We're in love with her colorful photography and the way she connects so genuinely with her fans on Instagram.
She decided to surprise TJ on their first anniversary with our custom tie clip. Their first dance lyrics (Ed Sheeran, Thinking out Loud) are inscribed on paper (the traditional first anniversary gift is paper). We love how they can cherish this keepsake forever, and always think back to their first dance!
Peyton writes about her husband TJ with so much love and adoration (sometimes calling him "the stud that I scored"!) We had the chance to hear their love story from Peyton's point of view.
What is True Love?
Peyton writes, "True love is finding that one person who will turn your whole world around – someone who you share all of your wildest hopes & dreams with & they’ll encourage you to pursue them... someone who you share life’s disappointments with because you are stronger together than on your own.”
A Dazzling Proposal
TJ proposed to Peyton on a boardwalk on the La Jolla coast. To capture this moment on the cliff, TJ hired Jenna Joseph Photography to secretly meet them at the romantic La Jolla beach. With the waves crashing and TJ down on one knee, you'd think these were stills from a movie!
Their Ceremony and Celebration
The couple got married at Graystone Church. Peyton writes, “We got married on June 25, 2016 & it was the best day of our entire lives thus far...I loved loved loved our ceremony venue!”
After the ceremony, a celebration followed at Cherokee Country Club. Peyton reminisces, “It was seriously a dream come true for us, and I would recommend this venue to ANYONE hosting any type of event.”
Peyton and TJ's wedding photographer, Katherine Birkbeck, is an absolute master. She captured the style and joy of the occasion flawlessly.
First Anniversary Reflections
Peyton writes, “TJ is my very best friend in life, and as much as I loved him on our wedding day, I can say with confidence that I love him even more today! I’ve learned so much about true love and this wonderful adventure called marriage.”
